Dimming starlight and an ever-darkening sky
The waning moon hangs low this night

Mounting the carts with victims, victims of the plague
Across cold ground they are hauled, hauled to the mass graves

A requiem of nightshade, the deathbells, the deathbells toll
Again, across cold earth my wagon wheels roll

My thought's they drift back, to the days of yore
I wonder when it will be me, being hauled to the diabolical blaze

A sacrifice is needed to supplicate the will of the Gods'
A needed execution to help us beat the odds

The forest seems darker with every trip to the pyres
That forlorn and abysmal glow of the growing fires

A mountain of corpses all infected with plague
Again, through the lone wood I make my somber way
I draw my cart slowly as even the wolves stay away
Driving the plague corpses to their mass graves
