This work, lyrically, centers around nature striking back at us for what we have done, our arrogance as a species to think we are the apex, the alpha, that we can overpower that which created us. The Archetypes of old are still well and alive in the psyche, we, the Pagans and Mysticks, are the ones working to rebuild what they tried to wrest away. The Dark Lord and Lady ride, the Wild Hunt, the cleansing.
Plague Driver and Winds of Mourning are really the only two that do deviate from the concept, in a way. They are a coupled story song of vampyrism and a poor soul who is tasked to drive the corpses who have died from plague to their graves, obviously though the source of the plague is in the 2nd song and the cycle repeats.
I, Thravson, am the sole creator and composer of all sounds and words on this album.
